During the whole process of hand-slab processing, most of the hand-made plates undergo surface treatment through appropriate processing methods (CNC or 3D printing). The purpose of the surface treatment is to satisfy corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, decorativeness or other SP requirements. Electroplating is the use of electrodes through the current metal attached to the surface of the object. Its purpose is to change the characteristics or dimensions of the surface of the object. Plating is generally divided into two types of wet and dry plating. Wet process is commonly referred to as water plating; dry process is commonly referred to as vacuum plating.

The plated metal passes through the electrode process and undergoes ion exchange to adhere to the plated surface, while the vacuum plating is at high pressure and high current, causing the coating metal to evaporate to the plated surface by vacuum evaporation of the metal. ATE has good adhesion and does not require other treatments later. Vacuum coating has poor adhesion and generally requires PU or UV plating on the surface. PC cannot be plated. The mold cannot be plated with water, only vacuum plating, and the plating solution is monotonous in color. Common water is plated with chromium, nickel and gold. Vacuum coating can solve the problem of seven colors. The surface effect of the workpiece before plating must grind the sandpaper 1500-2000, then polish it to make the plating liquid very expensive.
